*CanLiver = someone redefining what is possible to living with cancer.
You can live with cancer, richly and fully.

Luke’s story so far

On 19th June 2018 I was diagnosed with a very rare, “incurable”, stage 4 cancer. I had months to live.

I did everything I could to maximise my chances of survival. I walked, cycled and ran my way through treatment, including running the Bristol Half Marathon in 80 minutes during chemotherapy.

Still not knowing how long I had, in 2020 I set off on my dream to cycle from Bristol to Beijing on a tandem. Over 800 people joined me and my story reached millions. Watch the film of my adventure here.

20,000 miles later, having raised £131,000 for cancer charities and being awarded an MBE, I took my next step.

I became a professional trail runner and film maker.

I’ve represented Great Britain, won international races and made award-winning documentaries.

Since the day I was diagnosed with cancer, I’ve tried to redefine how it is possible to live with and beyond cancer and I continue to do this as patron of Move Against Cancer. I am also a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
